Boca defeated 1-0 the Lask of Austria with a great goal of Sebastián Battaglia in his third pre-season friendly in Europe.
Boca had played much better than his rival during all the first half, but could not score until the final minute, when Battaglia made use of Riquelme’s precise pass to and to decree 1-0 at Linzer Gugl stadium, of the Austrian city of Linz.
It is true that the LASK Linz was appearing as a level rival, but the big performance of the Zaglmair, LASK´s goalkeeper, seemed to close the doors of victory to the team who leads Alfio Basile, who had tried in this match with two strikers in the field: Lucas Viatri and Martín Palermo.
The first half seemed to close with a sweet flavor of 0-0 for the austrian, but Battaglia surprised in the area and defined gently, with class and calmness, to put some justice to the result.
In the beginning of the complement, Chávez replaced Gunino and Medel took the right side, position in which he made debut in Boca last Wednesday versus Manchester United. Boca kept on looking and showed more determination than in the first half. Basile put Mouche replacing Viatri and tried, again, with one striker. Also, Gaitán entered for Insúa.
Boca deserved to score more goals. Basile tried with Philippe and Sauro and, this way, passed the time until the end.
